1 · The gesture

Copy. Click the form. Ctrl+Shift+V.

  • Copy the source — select text and Ctrl+C, copy a PDF file, or take a screenshot. Whatever you'd naturally copy.
  • Click into the destination form — browser or desktop app, wherever you're working.
  • Press Ctrl+Shift+V — the review panel appears. Nothing has been written yet.

If another program owns that combo, TroveFill takes the next free one — Ctrl+Shift+B, Ctrl+Shift+D, then Ctrl+Alt+V. Hover the tray icon: its tooltip always names the combo in effect.

  • If the fill stops partway — the form window lost focus. That's a safety guard, not a fault: nothing gets typed into a window you aren't looking at. Refocus, press the hotkey again.
3 · Sensitive values

A full SSN always waits for you.

Even when TroveFill reads a Social Security Number perfectly, it will not enter it. The value appears amber — CHECK & TYPE — for your eyes: you verify it, and you type it yourself. A conscious human step on the most sensitive data, every time.

7 · If something's off

Three things, three fixes.

The hotkey does nothing

Another app owns the combo and TroveFill fell back to the next one — hover the tray icon to see which. Or pick your own in the tray menu.

A form it's never seen

It still helps by reading the field labels; unsure rows wait for you. It gets sharper the first time you correct it.

The fill stopped partway

The form window lost focus — that's the safety guard. Click back into the form and press the hotkey again.
